Dr. Ayla Azad, Interim CEO, Canadian Chiropractic Association, Treasurer

Dr. Azad graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic (USA) and completed her Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) degree from Athabasca University. Dr. Azad was in private practice at Total Rehab, a multi-disciplinary rehab clinic in Ajax, Ontario from 1999 to 2020. During that time, she was also teaching at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in the Chiropractic Therapeutics, Principles and Practice and Clinical Education Departments. Dr. Azad has served on the Board of Directors of the Ontario Chiropractic Association, serving as President and Chair of the Board from 2015 to 2017, and has served on the Board for the Canadian Chiropractic Research Foundation and the World Federation of Chiropractic. Dr. Azad began working at the CCA, in 2020 and is the Interim Chief Executive Officer.

Kyla Meadley, Chair – CMCC

Kyla Meadley (she/her) is a fourth-year intern at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC). Before starting at CMCC, Kyla had many academic endeavors, most recently obtaining a Master of Science in Global Health at McMaster University. Kyla has been involved with the SCCA since her first year at CMCC, and she is currently President of the SCCA Council at CMCC. She is confident that her past life experiences will allow her to be a key contributor to the SCCA both on campus and nationally. When she isn’t studying, Kyla can be found running, cycling, and spending time at her second home on Lake of Bays.
